Member of the Irish Olympic team, travelling to the World Food Olympics, Berlin, in 1996, winning silver, bronze and certs of merit awards.

Member of the Irish bakery team, travelling to the Coupe D'Europe in Nantes, France, in 2001. Only 27 people from Europe are selected to travel to this competition each year.

Winner of Renshaw Cup, 1992, for the highest achieved points in confectionery production in Ireland, receiveing a course in the highly regarded Richemont College, Switzerland , as a reward.

Winner of the DOHLER/O'Brien Award for excellance in confectionery and patissiere in my final year in college.

Winner of 3 gold, and 1 bronze at the National Bakery competitions 1997.

Winner 1 gold, 3 highly commended at Cork Sugarcraft Competitions, 1998.

Winner 1 gold, 6 silver, 2 bronze and 1 cert of merit at the National Competitions 1999, for confectionery and sugarcraft.
Cert of Merit, first prize, for the Hovis Bread Award.

Winner 1 silver medal at the Cork, Panel of Chefs competitions 1998.

Member of the Institute of Irish Bakers since 1998.
